About Big Blue Excursions
Big Blue runs four boats out of St. John. Two are center-console powerboats, Gypsea Queen and Gypsea King. Two are catamarans, Grace and Cat’s Eye. Every boat carries up to 12 guests, so group size rarely decides which one you take. Most of the fleet books as a half or full day; Cat’s Eye runs full days only.

The mixed fleet is the reason we send guests here. Most St. John operators are either a sail company or a powerboat company, so choosing between a slow day under sail and a fast one covering ground also means choosing between two businesses and two deposits.
Big Blue removes that. The same crew can put you on a catamaran for a lazy anchor-and-swim day or on a center console when the plan is four beaches before lunch. Because capacity is a consistent 12 across the fleet, a group of ten is not pushed onto a particular boat by numbers alone.
