St. John is one of the U.S. Virgin Islands, located in the Caribbean Sea. It’s the smallest of the three main islands in the U.S. Virgin Islands, which also include St. Thomas and St. Croix. Geographically, St. John is situated to the east of Puerto Rico and to the west of the British Virgin Islands.

It lies about 4 miles north of St. Thomas, separated by the Sir Francis
Drake Channel. The island is known for its beautiful beaches, lush landscapes, and its significant portion of land protected within the Virgin Islands National Park.

To reach St. John, Guests should fly into Cyril E. King Airport on St. Thomas (STT). There are many carriers that fly into STT airport including American Airlines, United Airlines, JetBlue, and Southwest Airlines to name a few. After exiting the airport, Guests should make their way to the ferry departing from either Red Hook or Crown Bay. Guests can reserve BOOKVI properties directly on this website. Simply browse the Villa selection on the home page or enter your dates and party size for a filtered search experience. Guests can also find and reserve BOOKVI Villas on VRBO.com or Airbnb.com.

In order to book and hold your reservation, BOOKVI must receive the first payment, which is 50% of the nightly rate, taxes, and fees, together with a duly executed and signed rental agreement. The second payment and remaining balance shall be due no later than 60 days prior to your arrival on the property.

If Guests are reserving less than 60 days ahead of arrival, the full payment is due upon booking and the reservation is non-refundable. Reservation is not secured until payment is made in accordance with the terms thereof.

If you cancel 61 days or more before check-in (e.g., the date prior to the due date for the payment of the remaining balance of the reservation), Renters will receive a 90% refund of the first payment to cover transaction fees incurred due to cancellation.

Renters expressly understand and agree there shall be no refunds issued for cancellations that are 60 days or less from the arrival date. Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, there are no refunds for early departure from the reserved home.

For your protection, we suggest you look into travel insurance to secure your trip.

US citizens do not need a passport to enter any of the US Virgin Islands (St. John, St. Thomas, and St. Croix). Upon departing St. Thomas, Guests will be required to go through Customs. While you do not need a passport, having a valid passport can speed up your process getting through Customs on your departure day. Further, Global Entry can be used for an even faster departure Customs line but is not necessary.

If Guests plan on visiting the British Virgin Islands during their stay on St. John, a valid passport is required for entry.

There are no refunds for hurricanes, tropical storms, or weather conditions, unless the USVI Government renders travel to St. John and/or St. Thomas unsafe and closes the port. Renters expressly assume the risk of such acts and further acknowledge and agree that tropical destinations are susceptible to these events, each of which is beyond the control of BOOKVI.

For your protection, we suggest you look into obtaining third-party travel insurance to secure your trip.

We always suggest renting a 4×4 vehicle while staying on St. John. Having the freedom to go where you want, when you want, is certainly in sync with the adventurous spirit of St. John. One thing to note about the USVI is that, even though we are a US Territory, we drive on the left side of the road.

While we do not have Uber or Lyft in the USVI, shared cabs, also referred to as “Safari Trucks,” are available for rides to town, the ferry dock, and even out to the beaches. Most Safari Truck drivers only take cash (USD) for rides. Ask the BOOKVI Team about where to rent your vehicle!

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak travel seasons such as winter and holidays. Some of our villas are reserved months in advance, so it’s best to secure your desired dates as soon as possible.
